Hello! I’m a linguist based in San Francisco. I’m currently a Language Data Engineer working on Amazon Lex (as a contractor via Experis). Broadly, I am interested in how to represent and understand language as a computational system. As an academic, I investigated this frontier through typological and theoretical investigations of morphology, syntax, and semantics. Now, I have developing interests in how humans and computers can communicate with one another using natural language. I have a PhD in Linguistics from UC-Santa Cruz.
