Hello! I’m a linguist based in San Francisco looking to start a second career in language engineering after a previous career in academia. Broadly, I am interested in how to represent and understand language as a computational system. As an academic, I investigated this frontier through typological and theoretical investigations of morphology, syntax, and semantics. Now, I have developing interests in how humans and computers can communicate with one another using natural language. I have a PhD in Linguistics from UC-Santa Cruz.
This page is a hub for both my job search in industry and my academic research. For prospective employers and co-workers, there’s a link to my portfolio at the top, and there is a page describing my research projects geared towards non-specialists. For academic linguists, my most current CV is here, and links to papers can be found on the research page.
